Students must have a grade of a C or higher for college admissions. Students who need to remediate a “D” grade to meet the college entrance requirements should contact their ACHS Counselor for information and instructions.

College Testing Information
TESTING INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS GOING DIRECTLY TO A FOUR YEAR UNIVERSITY:
The SAT is the most widely used college admission test. This site give you more than just testing information. You can take a practice test, do the question of the day, so the SAT skills Insight and do subject tests. To register, go to www.collegeboard.org
The ACT is another test site for college admission. Check out their website to see if the colleges that you are considering require or recommend the ACT writing test. To register go to www.act.org
Remember seniors, you need to have all of your testing done before December of your senior year. Some universities have an earlier deadline than that.

WHAT IS THE COST OF GOING TO COLLEGE?
The cost of attending college is a concern for parents and students. From the modest cost of attending a community college like Napa Valley College to the higher cost of going to an independent (private) college…there is a need to understand the challenge of paying for college. The following information may be of help to understand some basic terminology and information about financial aid.
