School Safety Plan
Dear ACHS Families,
At the beginning of each school year American Canyon High School updates its Comprehensive School Safety Plan. All students and staff undergo emergency drill training and practice proper evacuation for Earthquake, Fire, and Lockdown drill scenarios.
In the case of a real emergency, all students and staff will evacuate to our American Canyon High School Football Field. If our campus was deemed unsafe, students would be evacuated to our Primary Off-Site Evacuation Location at Canyon Oaks Elementary School. Listed below are our off-site evacuation locations:
Primary Off-Site Canyon Oaks Elementary School
Evacuation Location 475 Silver Oak Trail
American Canyon, CA 94503
Secondary Off-Site American Canyon Middle School
Evacuation Location 300 Benton Way
American Canyon, CA 94503
When picking up a student, parent/guardian must show photo identification, such as a California Driver’s License. Students will not be released to individuals who are unable to present proper identification or individuals who are not listed on the Student Emergency Information card. In the case of a lock-down, parents/guardians will not be able to pick up their child until after the threat has been neutralized.
